Stapleton forces late draw for Pat’s

FAUGHS 2-12 ST PAT’S, PALMERSTOWN 0-18

A Shane Stapleton free in the sixth minute of injury-time saw the Palmerstown men force a draw in this Evening Herald Dublin SHC ‘A’ Group B encounter at Tymon North on Friday night.

A well-taken goal by Pádraig Ryan have Faughs a good start but the deadball accuracy of Dublin under-21 Stapleton saw Pat’s edge a point in front by the interval, 0-8 to 1-4.

Former Dublin senior Conor McCann grabbed Faughs second goal soon after the restart but Pat’s battled to the end to earn a point in this round-robin clash.
